Research Products Antibody Toolbox Proteomics Sample Preparation Protein Purification

BAC’s innovative CaptureSelect^® Antibody Toolbox incorporates a number of ligands for the purification of almost any antibody format. Unlike the common bacterial coat protein matrices (Protein A, G and L), the Antibody Toolbox matrices were specifically designed to be able to purify with high affinity and specificity any antibody format by using gentle elution conditions.

CaptureSelect products are available for the purification of:

human antibodies, or human antibody fragments. Specificities include ligands binding to the Fc region (IgG1,2, 3 and 4), the kappa or lambda light chain, as well as a unique IgG4 ligand.
antibodies from different species. The specificity of this product is alike proteinG however mild elution conditions can be used.
Human IgA. The product can be used to purify all isoforms of IgA with high specificity and affinity.
Mouse, Rat and Human IgM. The product is specifically suitable for the purification of monoclonal IgM’s from hybridoma cell cultures.

This range of research products enables simplified and streamlined purification protocols, removes the uncertainty involved in selecting the appropriate purification media for a specific purpose, and minimises method testing and optimisation stages.

BAC's CaptureSelect media can now be efficiently processed via PhyNexus formatted in its PhyTip system. By combining BAC BV's affinity resins, directed towards different epitopes on antibodies (Fc or CL, kappa or lambda), with PhyNexus' automated PhyTip columns, we are able to offer a product to the market which enables researchers to purify antibodies and antibody fragments at very small scale in a high throughput mode.

The highly specific CaptureSelect resins in combination with the ease and small sample volumes needed for the PhyTip columns makes the system extremely suitable during lead identification of antibodies and antibody fragments in drug discovery as well as for setting final chromatographic conditions for purification of identified leads either singly or in parallel with other potential leads or resins.
