AVB Sepharose HP - AAV ligand

Adeno associated virus (AAV) as used in gene therapy is, like most viruses, difficult to purify. Low recoveries are common, due to 5 or 6 step purification processes and usually protocols are not easily upscaled. The CaptureSelect^® AAV ligand for protein separations provides a 1 step purification of AAV. As the epitope of this AAV ligand is on one of the viral proteins of AAV, the ligand binds the AAV subtypes 1,2,3 and 5. This ensures that this ligand can be used as a platform technology in the purification of different AAV subtypes.

AVB Sepharose™ High Performance is an affinity medium designed for the purification of adeno associated virus (AAV).
