Use of Camelid Antibody Fragments in the Depletion and Enrichment of Human Plasma Proteins for Proteomics Applications

The purification of an Anti Freeze Peptide from Lolium perenne can be found in Verheesen et al. The article describes the route from llama immunisation through ligand production and ligand coupling to final use of the ligand in the purification of an Anti Freeze Peptide from both lolium perenne and a microbial host system.

The use of CaptureSelect® ligands in the pre-purification for proteomics can be found in the book "Separation technologies in proteomics”. In the chapter “Use of Camelid Antibody Fragments in the Depletion and Enrichment of Human Plasma Proteins for Proteomics Applications” it is explained how CaptureSelect® anti Human IgG and anti HSA ligand can be used for the depletion of Human IgG and HSA from plasma before proteomics analyses.
